I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
